Cindy’s Promise is a registered not for profit charity that began after founder Cindy Cattach purchased Whiz – a six year old unsuccessful ex-harness racer who was on the truck to the knackery. Luckily Whiz was rescued at the last minute and was to be the very horse that opened the eyes and the gates to many more just like him.

Cindy adored her new standardbred horse so much so that she decided to look further into the fate of these horses that were deemed no longer useful or profitable in the racing industry.

Horse Rescue Australia Inc is a non-profit organisation and registered charity devoted to the care and rehabilitation of horses that have suffered abuse, abandonment or neglect. The organisation is run by a small, dedicated volunteer committee, one of whom is resident manager. Horse Rescue Australia receives no government assistance at all which means running of the sanctuary and ensuring the good health and wellbeing of the horses is funded solely through generous donations, sponsorships, memberships and fundraising events.

Ingrid’s Haven is a non-profit cat shelter in Victoria, just north of Melbourne. Ingrid has many cats and kittens available for adoption … most of them rescued from death row at the pound, taken in by Ingrid until new loving homes can be found. All cats and kittens are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. Ingrid’s Haven doesn’t accept surrenders from the general public (see the policy below). The Haven is a no-kill shelter.

Mini Tails Animal Sanctuary and rescue is based in the Glass House Mountains, Qld. We believe in rescue, rehabilitation and education. Our sanctuary is home to over 100 animals, which include rescue dogs, farm animals including a large beautiful caravan of camels. Mini Tails is a registered charity. Unlike many animal rescues (particularly with farm animals), we are a registered charity.

Where Pigs Fly farm Sanctuary was founded in 2014 to combat the abuses of animal agriculture and encourage a new awareness and understanding of farmed animals. We have rescued hundreds of farmed animals and cared for them at our sanctuary in Sydney, Australia. At Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary, these animals are our friends, not our food. We educate thousands of people about their plight and the effects of animal agriculture on our health and environment.
