Animals can suffer allergic reactions in the same manner as humans. The immune process is mostly the same; the main difference is in what they eat and what nutrition they require to maintain good health.

Allergic reactions result in excess histamine and other inflammatory substances which can cause pain and inflammation anywhere in the body.

There are a number of tests that determine allergens at a clinical level. Any test only gives us information - what we do with that information is where we get results.

By removing allergens, we can endeavour to correct the symptoms; but the underlying cause of the overactive immune system is still there.

Bio-Compatibility testing is at a sub-clinical level. It is aimed at finding out what is causing the immune system to over-activate. Here again they work collectively and how we use the information from the test is of extreme importance.

By eating only the compatible foods indicated on the list we are ruling out all other foods which can add to the overall problem. If we can get the immune system working efficiently; all reactive foods and products should correct in time.

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut a small clump of your pet's hair/fur (approx. 0.5 to 4cm) as close to the root as possible.

Step 3. Send the hair sample (and any additional items requiring testing) in separate clearly labelled plastic bags. Include your name and your pet's name plus the details of the additional items (if applicable). Mail to: Greenpet, 244 Verrierdale Road, Verrierdale Qld 4562.

Step 4. Await your results. These will be emailed to the specified address in the above form. These can often be automatically filed into the email junk folder. We suggest checking this folder before chasing up results. It may take up to 2 weeks for your results to arrive, dependent on the current demand at the lab.

Step 5. Once results received, follow the instructions provided in the report by avoiding all items marked in red. The most important thing is that your pet eats only the safe remaining foods. If you feed your animal foods that are not on the list, they have not been verified by the test and could be bad for your pet. It was great to know what foods and products are not so compatible for my two Labradoodles. Now I have taken these foods out of their diets they are energetic and not scratching as much. I look forward to retesting them in 5 months time...

I have used this test on a number of my dogs and found it exceedingly helpful when they have skin problems. For example one of my dogs had continuous ear infections. The test told me she was not compatible with Flaxseed which I had in her diet. Once I took the flaxseed out she never had another ear infection again.

The results were extremely useful, helping to guide appropriate food choices for my dog who has some health challenges.

We were very happy with the wonderful service. It was great to actually know the things we were feeding our fur baby were not good for her.

I found this very helpful in trying to isolate potential issues for my dog. It has given me some extra information that can work in conjunction with existing treatments she’s having. Finally a test that gave us some answers!! After almost 18 months of battling skin issues and being on and off awful steroids and Apoquel our itchy dog is finally on the road to recovery. To know that our dog isn’t reacting to grass was a huge relief living on a property. This test highlighted our dogs food and fabric intolerances and 7 weeks in we are now seeing a much happier and drug-free dog. I cannot recommend this test highly enough to anyone who has an itchy pet and has been told it’s a grass allergy, do this test and find the real source of the problem.

Since implementation of Thor’s new eating regime, cutting out offending foods/items, he no longer smells, baths are once every 10days if that, his coat is growing back, no more skin erruptions, incessant itching, balding, and slowly his skin is returning to a soft healthy pink colour – Lot less black skin. I’d say he’s 80% improved overall in 4 wks of compliance, and currently no urgent need for cytopoint injection. Also using the naturopath recommended shampoo/conditioner and cream.. We’re all so much happier, hoping he stays this healthy for a very long life ❤️❤️

Floyd has always suffered rashes, itchy skin & yeast infections his whole life. After eliminating the recommended triggers he has been excellent. So far he hasn’t need-ed his monthly injection & no signs of any rashes. After trying so many other things, this has been fantastic. Wish I had done this ages ago. Totally recommend.
