Dosage & Directions

How to administer dried herbs to your horse/animal

Dried herbs may be added directly to your horses dampened feed in their dry state. Alternatively, they may be made into an infusion (herbal tea) prior to use and the soak liquid and soaked herbs poured over their feed prior to feeding. By making an infusion prior to feeding, releases more nutrients from the herbs and increases the health benefits and this soak water may be used to dampen feeds. But if time and convenience is an issue then adding the dry herb (except root herbs) directly to feed is fine.

Root herbs are best softened by adding boiling water and allow to cool before adding the liquid and softened herb to feed.

Simply add 30g of the dried tea to a damp feed daily for a 500kg horse.

Have used it for years. Fantastic for my Qld itch horse. Have tried many other brands, none have worked anywhere near as well. Easy to use, very palatable. Plus the people at Greenpet are amazing.

My horse had a bad itch on his belly, chest and in-between is back legs. The vet had no suggestions about the cause, but suggested it be kept hydrated with a water-based oil. I put the horse on Switch, used an anti-itch soap product and the weather got cooler. The horse is now about 90% better. Because there were several factors involved, I can't say that Switch cured the horse, however, he did find it palatable and the service from Greenpet is always first rate.

Great mix of herbs for the itchy Pony. Is certainly helping.

SWITCH – Highly RecommendedWe have had our horses for almost a year and I started them on SWITCH as a preventative to QLD Itch when they first arrived. Although they didn't suffer with it at the time, we have a lot of bities here, so gave it to them as a precaution. Recently I stopped using it, as I was trying to make their hard feed less complicated and thought they probably didn't need it anyway. Within 2 weeks of stopping, our mare started scratching badly and raw patches started appearing all over her. I was devastated and it took about a week for me to realise that it could be because I cut Switch out of their diet. Within a week of using Switch again, the raw patches started healing and her hair started growing back. This stuff is amazing for Itch conditions!!! I highly recommend it and won't stop using it again... ever !!!
