How to use CalmHealthyHorses products for best results

 

 

Ingredients

 

  • Boron: essential for the proper metabolism of calcium, phosphorous and magnesium and therefore the maintenance of healthy bones. Boron is easily leached from soils especially in high rainfall regions.
  • Calcium & Phosphorous
  • All the major anti-oxidants: Vitamins A,C, E & Selenium
  • Small dose of 100% organic iron. The inclusion of organic iron caters for the hay fed horse whilst not posing a problem for grass fed horses. The organic iron has benefits for horses in intense work too as some iron is actually lost in sweat.
  • Zero potassium which is always oversupplied in the equine diet from forages.
  • Zero copper sulphate. Instead contains 100% organic copper for help with calcium absorption and the development of true coat colour.
  • 100% organic zinc for hundreds of bodily functions including immune system and hoof/hair health.
  • 100% organic chromium which is vital for the metabolism of glucose.
  • Some sodium chloride. The need for salt varies from horse to horse. Plain salt will need to be added to feed according to individual requirements.
  • Iodine: When you feed Supreme Australian Vitamin & Minerals there is no need to use iodised salt, just plain sodium chloride which is easier to obtain in bulk for horses.
  • All B Vitamins. Many supplements contain only some or only one! Each B vitamin has a different nutritional role, they are all equally important.
  • Inositol: An important B Vitamin known to have a calming effect on the nervous system. Inositol is a vital component of all cell membranes so is necessary for nerve, brain and muscle function. It is vital for hair growth. Deficiency of inositol will cause hair loss, eczema, digestive and eye problems.
    • Selenium: is required for equine muscle development and growth. Along with Vitamin E, it is a component of proteins that prevent muscle conditions such as tying up (nutritional myopathy or exertional rhabdomyolysis). This essential mineral is also important for reproductive health.
  • Supreme MVA has increased levels of:
    • Vitamin E: Horses on high-hay diets have an increased requirement for this. For example Supreme MVA delivers 3,200mg to a 500kg horse.
    • B Vitamins – Known for their effectiveness in the conversion of feed into energy for growth, work, digestive function and reproduction. Being water-soluble, there is no chance of toxicity either.

     

Supreme MVA is suitable for recreational, breeding, racing and performance horses.

Dosage & Directions

 

Daily Amount:

20gms per 100kgs Live-Weight (500kg horse = 100 grams)
One level tablespoon = Approx. 20g

Start with 1/8th of amount and build up to full amount. Only ever feed the correct amount at all times.

Contains selenium – included at a rate of .28mg per 20gms per 100kg (eg. 1.4mg for a 500kg horse)

Do not use at the same time as any other product containing selenium or selenised fertiliser.
Do not exceed stated amount or frequency without a veterinarian.

Cobalt: The with-holding time for race horses is 24 hours.

    I have been using this vit and min on my horses for just on 12 months, they look awesome! They are happy and healthy with no issues. We have had absolutely no hoof problems whist on this product unlike everyone around us with constant problems over the wet weather.

    I have 5 horses all different ages and types. 1 gf brumby filly, she was progressing well until spring arrived and the clover sent her silly, I could not catch her for ages and so she didn’t get brushed for months, she was also doing lot’s of nose rubbing. 1 gf brumby gelding, usually super quiet and loving, spring made him a bit grumpy and antisocial, not like him at all, over weight very solid little fella.1 Pinto x qh filly, grumpier than usual. 1 welsh x stock horse 22yrs pony, lost long winter coat but still quite thick, not shiny, cresty neck. 1 qh x tb, 16yrs pulls back when tied, muscles were quivering, fat pads shoulders and rump, was walking in sore footed drunk type state, thought he had dementia. All horses were on extra magnesium and salt. Since introducing the provideit vit min mix and GrazeEzy they have all improved immensely, all shiny coats except for the old fella but he is shedding again, brumby filly is easy to catch now and a shiny coat despite the lack of brushing. Big improvement in the qh x tb, almost a different horse. So happy I found these supplements, I now have happier healthier horses. Highly recommend.

    I have been using this product for over a year now. I have a 24 year old QH, a 6 yr old Paintbred and a 3 yr old paintbred. We have just come out of an extreme drought situation. My horses look and behave amazingly on a diet of Supreme Vit and Min, Beet pulp flakes, copra, low carb pellets and Rhodes Grass hay. When the grass grows quickly because of rain, I add Graze ezy and Tox Defy and some Alleviate. This way I’m able to successfully manage my riding horse that is prone to laminitis. He has maintained fantastic, hard and healthy bare hooves since I started feeding these supplements. We regularly trailride on varied rugged terrain.
