I love my cat dearly, and after losing my previous cat to a Heart Disorder, I spent a few hours on the Internet, reading and researching all about Heart Disorders. I was astounded to read over and over again, how our Dog and Cat foods, are seriously deficient in Taurine. The lack of Taurine in their diet causes eye and heart disease to develop. I naturally want to make sure my new Cat is getting all the necessary Vitamins and Minerals she needs to keep her as healthy as possible. I mix in a quarter of a teaspoon of Taurine Powder into my Cat’s canned food every day, and she doesn’t even notice it. Every 2 weeks, I buy a tray of Blade Steak, and chop it up into small daily portions, and freeze them in small freezer bags, and every day I get a new one out and put it in my fridge to slowly thaw out, and she loves it. So the fresh raw meat is my Cat’s main food source. I wish I found out the importance of Taurine in a Cat’s diet many years ago. This is also excellent for humans to take, so I take a small amount every day as well. When I googled “Benefits of Taurine” I noticed people were saying it helps them sleep, and to calm them down, without turning to Doctor’s Medications, that can have dangerous side effects. My next item I want to buy from you is your Vitamin C Powder, as I knew someone who saved their cat from a snake bite, by dissolving it in water, and administering it by a syringe in the side of their mouth. (This info can be Googled as well) It’s also excellent for strengthening a cat/dog/horse/cattle/human’s immune system.

Taurine has made a huge improvement to both my horses eye health. Both have Uveitis and previously required high uv veils year round. This year, they did not need their veils during winter or spring and can now go for a couple of days without them this summer, (which gives me enough time to find where they lost their veils!)

We had no idea how important taurine was in a cats diet. Our gorgeous 5 year old cat Pirate was such a sick kitten when I fostered then adopted him and he would only eat boiled chicken. I tried many times to give him any type of cat food but he refused. Recently we noticed he couldn’t see thing properly and his legs were getting very weak so we attended a vet specialist who diagnosed taurine deficiency. Fingers crossed a pinch more taurine daily, helps her to stay stable. Last echo she measured slightly smaller so not sure if its the extra taurine or pot luck. She does not have dilated CM, which is caused by taurine deficiency but her CM is also not Hypertrophic. Her’s is something they can’t explain which is why I’m hoping the taurine will help, because it reverses Dilated CM, one never knows in this weird situation.
