Description
Hair Mineral Analysis: Animals is the most effective, non-invasive method for testing mineral levels in the body. Minerals are important for correct function of many organs and glands.
Many people and animals have nutritional deficiencies or imbalances from poor quality foods, etc. Our food today is not as mineral rich as it used to be due to the heavy use of artificial fertilizers and chemicals. Ensure you and your animals have the right mineral balance for optimum health.
Toxins from heavy metals can cause many health problems so it is helpful to know if your animals have been exposed to these.
Hair Mineral Analysis: Animals tests for the following:
Nutrients tested with a hair mineral analysis: animals includes – Boron, Calcium, Cobalt, Copper, Chromium, Phosphorus, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, Sulphur, Zinc.
Non-essential elements tested – Bismuth, Germanium, Gold, Lithium, Rubidium, Silicon, Titanium, Tin, Vanadium
Toxic elements tested – Antimony, Aluminum, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Cadmium, Lead, Nickel, Mercury, Platinum, Silver, Strontium, Thallium, Tungsten, Uranium
Instructions:
Please complete the online form and send a hair/fur sample (at least 1 tablespoon of hair) to Greenpet along with your name, animal’s name and order number:

How much hair?
Your hair or fur is a timeline. Your most accurate health is displayed close to the skin. To ensure we calculate your most accurate health status, ensure you cut a large enough fur sample; that is taken close to the skin. (you do not need to pull the hair out by roots). The length of hair should be no longer than 5cm or 1.5″ long and no less than a heaped teaspoon.
For horses, if using mane hair, cut close to the skin and trim the length off so that it is only up to 5cm long.
For dogs or cats with short coats, ensure you trim enough fur to be a tablespoon and this can be trimmed or shaved from anywhere on the body.

Once we receive the sample it will be sent off to the lab for testing. Results can take up to 4 weeks.
Once we receive the results, you will receive a hardcopy of the full report via post. This will include your animals mineral balance, mineral ratios, etc and suggestions on how to overcome any imbalances or deficiencies if needed.
If you have any questions about this test, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for all your advice
Just like to thank you for the hair mineral analysis I just received for my 15yr old CB gelding. It was so informative and detailed it took me several hours to digest. I would also like to thank you for the nutritional information you also recommended. I am starting to implement his current diet with the diet you have recommended.

Extremely useful test that helped identify nutrient deficiencies in my dog. I will be a returning customer for this test in future.
